Some of the pictures and pages look odd, what can I do?
Please click on the
Webmaster link in the header section of each page to report a problem.  If it can be fixed it will be, but you may need to be patient! I am still figuring this stuff out.

I heard that a change was made to a page, but when I looked for it it wasn't there!  What's wrong?
Nothing actually!  One of the ways browsers appear to run faster is to load "cached" copies of web pages.  That is, each web page you visit is copied to your hard-drive.  If you return to it, a copy may still exist in storage on your PC and this local copy will be used instead of making you wait for a lengthy download.  If that is the case, you may not see the change that other people are talking about...  To force the page to be re-downloaded, hold your Control Key and click on the Refresh button on your browser's toolbar.

I can read the site at work, but at home I can't.  Why?
Lot's of reasons probably.

At work, you may have a much faster connection to the internet.  And while we are trying to keep pages small and quick to download, you may need to be patient on some pages.

Also, you may be using a different browser at work than at home.  This site is being developed in Microsoft's Front Page.  So if you use a current version of Internet Explorer, you should have no problems.  The pages will also be checked after upload in Netscape.  However, I don't have access to an AOL browser, if you are using AOL & you have problems, please contact their tech support for instructions on how use IE or Netscape.

This is a good time to talk about how to report a problem to the Webmaster.  Please do contact me with any issues.  However, I need as much information as you can provide.  Please tell me what browser, version and connection speed you have, etc.

I want to contribute to the site, who do I contact?
Please send an email to the
Webmaster.  If you are able, please prepare the contribution as much as possible.  This will help get your article up on the site quickly.  Scan any photographs and reduce the files to web-friendly sizes.  If you are familiar with your word processor or an HTML editor, you may even want to type up your article and layout the photographs as you would like them to appear on the website.  If you do not have a scanner, send duplicate photos to the webmaster (email for an address).  If you don't have email or a computer to type up your article, please look up the webmaster's phone number on the Who's Who page and call for instructions.  (Note: one of the ways you can contribute is to assist with Web Updates!)

Who may post to the Message Board?
Anybody!  The Doc Fritchey website is open to the world wide web and registered with the major search engines, so we can be found by anyone who cares to look for us.  And there is no registration required to post.  Many people across the state come to fish the streams in Dauphin and Lebanon counties.  These people may posts questions or opinions about what Doc Fritchey is doing.

Why do we have a Message Board?
To be honest, we are hoping that the board will be a way to take informal polls of what a portion of our membership is concerned with.  The directors realize that not everyone in the chapter has a PC, or cares to post comments, and so speaking at a meeting or contacting the directors is still the best way to express your opinions.  But in this forum we can express and explore issues pertaining that affect us.

Of course, you may use it in anyway you wish.  Have fun with it.
